As discussed at the last meeting the Player of the Season Award.
Now is the time I think to put our thinking caps on, yes I know we have a few games left but we must'nt leave it to late to decide who will be the first recipient of this award , maybe a general chat about it on our way to Lydney on Saturday?

Bit early yet. Some big games still to come with some big performances needed.

Come on Bay

Yes it's a bit early, but why not throw a few names about now, just for fun?
Newqs, Jarvs, Burnett, Hilts.
That'll do me.

Newqs for being an uncaged animal.
Jarvs for mega points.
Burnett for ruling the forwards.
Hilts for wearing his heart on his sleeve.
Typed with the benefit of many guinness.  I hope i haven't made too many typos, i'm touch typing cos I can see at least three monitors in front of me.  yippee!

TDH, too many typos? No one, I say no one, spells Guinness correctly. Congratulations on getting it right (Had you used a capital 'G' you would have been purfect.)

yippee with a small 'y'. That was also incorrect.  Any of the lassies in the 'Cuba' thread are welcome to show me the error of my ways.

Please!

We shouldn't forget Ricky Pellow either. Mr Consistent and such a good team player, constantly linking the play without being "flash". Try imagining the team without him!

Not entirely unsung, Dave; he got my MOTM nomination at Scottish (about 10 minutes before I started "My Old Man's a Dustman" to the tune of "Land of Hope & Glory"!)

next try singing Procul Harems 'Whiter shade of pale' to the tune of 'My old man's a dustman'
That'd be a fun encore.

I'm going to add to that the MOST IMPROVED PLAYER ALSO. My vote for that one goes to Jamie Salter

It's been such a long season with so many different team performances it'll be darn hard to pick one out but going with what I've seen if it's the team glue award then it's Ricky or Nicky!

just a thought, but who gets a say in this?  The whole BP membership, a fan survey, the committee or the next mini-bus load of hungover stalwarts?  (the last two bein one and the same)

Could I suggest a voting form posted to all BP members, not all read the forum or even touch a computer bigger than the dishwasher and it would be good to get all feeling involved, even if they are many miles away!  A widest possible vote would also be more meaningful to the players.

If there is a committee person reading this, could the BP fund this?

I know I believe in nothing, but it is my nothing

No, you can only vote whilst drinking heavily otherwise sensible decisions can be made.

Thats fine-I dont see a problem with that. We will sort it out at the next meeting and just need a deadline for returns otherwise.

Consider it done.

Nomination slips went out in the post today to all BP members along with a stamped address envelope for the return of the forms. Deadline for returns is 22/4/08.
