As I write, Bay will have supped the last drop of his pint and will be on his way home. I wait a posting from him in a short time.

I'm home already.  That's certainly a record.  Now I can actually start drinking :-)

Not really Dave, we missed your reassuring presence. And your presents. You've missed every Boarding party meeting this season, I sometimes worry about your dedication (or lack thereof)

The trouble is, I have to be home by midnight, and only set off in the afternoon so I have to turn round somewhere near Bristol. Mind you I always have a couple of pints and a few whiskies; they seem to make my driving better for the trip home.

Boarding Party meeting
Monday 7th April 2008

Members present

BoP, DavidW, Bay, Newlyn Boy, Hope, Wino, Oggie, TDH, Pz01 (Dont think I have not missed anyone out)

1 Player of the month for March nominations

Adam Nicholls was voted player of the month for March so well done to Adam.

2 Up to date nominations for player of the year

Posted nominations were opened in front of the members present. The result will not be announced until after the Barking game. So far voting is very close so make sure that you vote on time.

3 Quiz night/Closed season fund raising

Throughout the closed season the Boarding Party will be organising a series of quizes and treasure hunts that all the supporters families can attend. The intention is to raise enough money to sponser a player next year (well at least a socks worth anyway)

4 Barking travel

There was a show of interest particularly for travel and overnight accommodation. Please post your interest on the Barking Travel topic and whether you are keen on just travelling there and back on a day or want overnight accommodation.

5 Plans for season 08-09

Once the Boarding Party get to see the new logo and shirts for next year then we will decide whether the BP logo should be changed or not.

6 The Clubs end of season dinner (If invited)

The club has announced that the end of season dinner will be at the Queens Hotel on Friday the 25th April. A topic will be set up for people to post on if they are intersted in attending. Ticket prices have not yet been organised.

7 Date of AGM

The Boarding Party AGM will be organised for the Wednesday 28th May. (Venue and time will be posted at a later date)

8 AOB

Cinderford Game

Just to make people aware on Saturday that the Newlyn entrance will be closed on Saturday, but all other entrances will be open as usual for supporters to gain access to the ground.

Why the AGM on Wednesday and not on a Monday as most of the other meetings have been on?

No particular reason. It is 12 months exactly after the first meeting of the Boarding Party.
