Former Bay player Cullam Osborne appointed new coach of Hayle. This was taken from Hayle's web site

The Hayle RFC Rugby Committee is pleased to announce that Cullam Osborne has been appointed Head Coach for the forthcoming season.

Cullam has an excellent pedigree as a player and will have the full support of the management to develop the playing sides in line with the club's stated aims.  The aim of the club is to play at the highest sustainable level within the confines of the amateur game, thus, promotion back into the Western Counties (West) league is the challenge. A strengthening 2nd XV puts pressure on 1st XV players to maintain both fitness and form and it is also the Club’s aim to create a regular, enthusiastic 2nd XV. Cullam will also liase with the Colts coaches to ease the transition of colts players into the senior sides.

Good luck to him.

Thank-you all, for your kind words. I intend to do the best i can and i am also hoping i can finally give up playing!!!
HOPE- It is difficult to remember 1 try from the many i scored for mb but i think the 1 you mean is the 1 that finished off St.Ives in a tight game at home and more importantly put paid to them vying with us for auto promotion that season??? Very satisfying and probably the furthest i have ever run 4 a try.

Spot on - it was the St Ives game at home 19th Feb 2005 (I'm not that anally retentive - I have just spent 15 mins looking through my old diaries!).  Great try and the descrïption you modestly gave on the No 6 bus on the way home did you proud ( I was a bit miffed that you recognised me cheering you on looking a bit less than glam at the match given that I was on the way home after a night out) x

Does not look like Cullam is hanging up his boots just yet, he played tonight and looked as if he was enjoying it.

Matt Rashleigh also played for Hayle tonight and i here he has signed for them. Good luck to him, he made a good impression with us last season and i'm sure he will hold down a regular starting place in Hayle's 1st team.

Matt Rashleigh. Indeed a good signing for Hayle and an opportunity for the young player to learn his trade.
