Having read this thread I am amazed that non of you have noticed the link between Newbury and bristol, which has been there for some 8 years now when I played there. We had a young Hugo Southwell(scots int now) sent to us for game time. Ever since then there has been a link between them. Now with an ex bristol academy coach taking the healm at newbury this season I would think there is a stronger link than ever.

People don't go to the Circus to see the elephants, but every Circus has to have them......One for the front row!!!

Sorry Morgs, think Bristol are a big enough club to have their fingers in more than one pie.  Expect to see the fruition from this soon, from their point of view- very keen on some of our younger players, happy to trade off.  Also carry on with your posts, always interesting, and apart from a few games this year wish you all the best.
