TDH usually uses the terminology "idiots" after midnight and when he's had a few beers.

The quote that spawned my 'you idiot' response was some numpty saying that it was doubtful that there would be any players from the Mounts Bay area still playing for the club next season.

His was an idiotic comment, and was fully deserving of my response.

Put your money where your mouth is. I'll bet any takers who think newlynman was correct £1000.  My money says he is very wrong.
Two points... 1.  I haven't had a drink
2.  I mean it, if anyone wants a bet i'll put my cash up front if you do too.

Looking at TDH yeaterday (the wild man of Redruth) I'm not too sure of that. With 6'7" of a bearded man coming towards him Arfur looked a little hesitant to say the least.

Yes and bearing in mind TDH's descrïption of BoP earlier in this thread I did begin to wonder if I was going to get out of Camborne in one piece.

Nice to meet you guys at last. No doubt we will still differ in our opinions from time to time but hope that they will be friendly differences.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said but I'm not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant!!

Do the CP fans have to put up with that standard of beer at every game? Quite frankly, it was bloody awful.

The ale always tastes like that at the Pirates game. Where's the guiness is what I want to know.

I noticed that all the beer was in small barrells on the counter behind the bar. Usually it all comes on tap including Guiness. Even the Betty Stoggs did not taste quite the same as at Pirates matches.

Good to see that Arfur has met with some of our supporters, to him and others such as Pirate Pig and Stalwart:  All have made choices as we are all entitled to, personally as a lifelong Pz&N man I am opposed to moving that team from home and re-naming them, others opt otherwise.  Because of my beliefs I am now more concerned with Mounts Bay.  Fine we are all happy but, what if a new ground for the "Pirates" does not happen?  Could they return to the Mennaye?  Become Pz&N again?  Where would this leave Mounts Bay?  Plans are in place for another ground but could the local area support two teams in high(expensive) leagues?  This is my concern and also the reason for my wish that the Cornish Pirates become a club for Cornwall, play in Truro and attain the premiership whilst we have Mounts Bay for Buccas' etc.( where do I put the apostrophe Bop?).

I can think of one or two places that BoP might suggest, or even may suggest, for the apostrophe.

I would give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Put it this way: if he were foolish enough to follow my suggestion, it'd take every ounce of Hope's nursing skills to have him up & about again smile/eek.gif
