Sean Parton/John Navin the forwards and Ian Veal/Mark Rowe the backs until the new player/coach arrives who apparently has an awesome playing CV!!

only the one has been there since the beginning oli faulkner. The whole 'local'  thing does not really fit with modern semi pro/pro sport anymore, sad as it may be but a fact of reality.

I have to agree with Fizz on that one. But it is good to see the likes of Ollie who has moved up all those leagues staying around and competing for his place in the starting XV.

Indeed that is true Fizz. That is why St. Ives are 3 leagues below mounts bay. They have counted on local players without bringing out the cheque book! Not saying its a bad thing just sad. Its the way the cookie crumbles nowadays! Sure st. ives are back on the up though.

I hope so. It can only be good for cornish rugby to have as many clubs as possible playing high league rugby.

I wouldnt say that is totally true Saints. Looks like the cheque book was just put away last season. Isnt that why there are money issues now regarding the players they want to sign?

I can assure that Karl will not be signing for some time. Not wanting to push semantics but St Ives have a sports therapist not a physio

Have heard nothing more about that. Could be a good move for him. Loads less pressure and a talented set of lads to work with. Who knows??

Indeed he is a sports therapist and a great one at that. But i dont understand what your point is fizz? Is karl not trying to rehabilitate so he can play Rugby again which is, correct me if i am wrong, a sport? Physios and sports therapist train for the same amount of time but sports therapist concentrate on sport!!

Sports therapy and physiotherapy do have similarities and like all jobs there are good and bad of each. Sports therapy lacks educational quality assurance in the fact that one can do a weekend course and call themselves a sport therapist or do a degree in it. Physiotherapy is a degree qualification and is also regulated by a formal legal body like Drs. That is the main difference between the two. Nothing else ment

To call yourself a genuine sports therapist you must have a degree which takes 3 years FACT!! Physiotherapy degrees take 3 years FACT! Plus one years probation with some! You are thinking of sports massage with the weekend couses fizz! Sports therapist concentrate on rehabilitating people for sport where as physios concentrate on rehab in general! The sporting knowledge of a sports therapist could be the way forward! Although i have seen your new physios background which is rather impressive!
