Because he wasn't offered another contract by the Pirates and wanted to stay in the area.

Apparently RM has been back in New Zealand; whilst the charms of St Ives are many & various, are they enough to entice him back half way round the world?

Depends what he has been offered, I would have thought.

The Stradeyvarious, a violin made from various bits of furniture from Stradey Park, Llanelli, when it was pulled down.

I know that the hakes are still looking for a coach/player coach and offering an attractive pot of money for the position. A couple of overseas boys due to arrive mid september. Think the first 2 or so games will be tough for St. Ives with lack of backs but all should be good by october when the backs coming in are available. The forwards are looking sharp. Dont know more on the Meredith story. Surely Jarvis was offered another contract at the pirates!? He started most games and was top points scorer!??

27-10 To the Hakes. St. Ives all over camborne for majority of the game apparently and scoreline flattered camborne.

Meridith doesn't have the correct visa to play in the national leagues, hence why he didn't return to Redruth.  He enjoyed himself in Cornwall last season, so if he wants to come back St.Ives are the best option, he would be awesome at SW2 level.

10 points in injury time to win by 2, their new website (www.stives-rfc.co.uk)now up with interesting match report. Early days yet on site, but looking good and a forum back in place. No supporters yet registered to join club on that link (as distinct from forum), maybe some do not like having to put in lot of personal info to register. A balance between not frightening people off and getting people looped into communications?

St. Ives training last night: The backs look like they are beginning to take shape with the new overseas boy Ross? coming in at 15. Two more boys to come from overseas and Earp after injury then i think all will be good. The forwards are looking strong, fit and organised. I can see a top 3 finish for the hakes. Young boy Ben in the forwards looks to be one for the future. Mark Rowe and Sean Parton seem to be doing a fair job on the coaching side.

Speaking of the St. Ives website, I actually made a test one and was going to offer my services, but decided agianst it. I will put the website up if anyone wants to see it?

The Pitchero is just a simple format they used to do the design/hard work for them?

Brixham v St Ives appears to have been abandoned today with Brixham 12-6 ahead.  What happened there?
