i believe another club record turned out last night for training. there was 66 of us, not sure if that includes coaches and the female ref who is down helping our preseason by guiding us through the new laws, if they're not included then it means we had over 70 in total!

Hope to be able to confirm a raft of signings (15 to begin with including a host of Cornish and West Country men) next week. Training attendance could top 70 tonight...

More like the enteric if you ask me, or perhaps they have the stomach for that.

you've got to have guts to make a post like that, Dave.

Shouldn't you have used a : though?

OK here goes and in no particular order, these are some of our close season captures (no we are not paying, its just that 3 of the coaching team also run recruitment companies!):-

Rob Davies - Flanker - Bridport
Tom Acton - Wing - Buckingham
James Brennan - Flanker - Old Ignatians (AUS)
Phil Studt - Flanker - Vale of Lune
Adam Calvert - Flanker - Ashley Down OB
Tom Rockhill - Wing/FB - Redingsians
Dan Masters - No 8 - Bridgewater & A (former Truro player)
Ollie Yates - Wing - Rosslyn Park and Soms
Miran Servarevic - Flanker - Univ of Warks and Warks
Richard Hart - Wing - London Scottish
Crawford Henderson - FB - Rosslyn Park, former Quins and Scotland A (lends some experience to our back line!)
Jon Durrant - FH - Huntingdon
Dave Theobald - Prop - South Leicester
Hamish Cuming - Prop - Gueret (FRA) and Cornwall U19
Harry Swetman - Hooker - Barns Green (another Cornishman)
Jon Widdowson - FB - Old Caterhamians
David Soar - FH - Univ of Liverpool
Ed Widdowson - SH - Reading Abbey
Luke Temple - No 8 - Sevenoaks

There are more to follow but we are still getting them registered. Am also very pleased to welcome back to training two players who have been out for 18 months or more - 2 years, lock Max Vere-Hodge and Prop Jack Knivett. From last season, we have lost 2 players through retirement and 1 moved to Wales (Damo Stirrett and Jonty Saunders, Simon Wood.) No one has left the club to go to another club.

Our 1s squad is huge and our 2s will also be picked from it each week. The 2s have entered the Canterbury Shield Div 4 (CABS 2s are in Div 1 of this) for the first time so we need a much bigger squad if our 1s and 2s are to be competitive.

Make it known, Dickon, & 1 or 2 of the BP faithful might turn up & join you for a swift half   smile/beer.gif

Think we will know far more re promotion after 6 matches since none of us really know how the ELVs will change things.

OK chaps - think it could be Friday early pm if I can sort my driver

No one has left the club to go to another club.
I think that says a lot about the way the club is being run.

With a rod of iron!
Besides, having visited The Telegraph and seen the array of top-drawer totty wandering around no wonder LC have such a player base!  How the other half live!

I think I shall stick to what I'm good at and, as soon as I can work out what that is, I shall stick to it!
