St Ives will be in big trouble for that. I dont think they will only get away with a points deduction this time. I can see them going down a league or two. The RFU will need to clamp down on this which is a shame for St Ives.

Did Humphries play???

Apparently St Ives could only raise 8 players for the Bracknell game.

This does no one any good. St. Ives need help to sort things out - is there no chance of surplus players from other clubs having games for them?

From the Western Morning News

South West One strugglers St Ives have no intention of failing to fulfil their fixture at Reading despite the problems encircling the club.

Doomed St Ives - they can't finish outside the bottom two now even if they win every game left- had to cry off at Bracknell last month because they couldn't raise a side.

The player registration pad has seen some serious action in recent weeks as club officials have cajoled a few of their old boys into helping out during the current crisis. Assistant coach Sean Parton is one of the golden oldies persuaded to sign on as a short-term measure.

So, who have the Hakes signed for this season coming? It has been rather quiet where the ninth best side in Cornwall is concerned.  I do hope they're OK.

I think I shall stick to what I'm good at and, as soon as I can work out what that is, I shall stick to it!

Merlin, how about the ethos of British journalism: Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.....

I like talking to a brick wall, it's the only thing in the world that never contradicts me.
